Mr Neil Roebuck
I currently hold the role of Parent Governor. I’ve lived in Forest Town since 2002 with my wife and our two children both attend Holly. At work I’m an internationally experienced finance professional, having held various roles during my career of increasing responsibility up to Director level, within the private sector for the last 20 years. Helping to advise and shape the future of Holly Primary gives me a sense of huge pride, knowing that our children and their well-being are a priority.
I have two children at Holly Primary and am currently a parent governor. I have worked in the legal profession for the past 15 years, specialising in dispute resolution, and use my skills to assist the school. I wish to play a part in providing our children with a happy, safe and productive school experience.
Mr Duncan White
I am the Headteacher at Holly Primary. I am also a Mansfield Area Partnership Director who represents the Garibaldi Family of Schools. Here at Holly Primary we are extremely proud of the education we offer, our children and community deserve the very best and that is what we strive for.
Mr Neil Smith
I have been on the Governing Body at Holly since 2005 (in various roles). I own a small local Technical Consultancy in the Steel Construction Industry and previously had 2 children that attended Holly. I have seen significant change at school over the years but what remains constant is a goal to see our children achieve the best they can and set them up for the next stage of their lives, which is extremely rewarding.
Mrs Sally Charles
My Daughter is at Holly Primary school and enjoys her time there. I work for a local authority and am currently within the housing team. I have always worked within the public sector so have a knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR and multi-agency/ partnership working. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family and friends, baking cakes, and watching films.
I work as a Teaching Assistant and have two children in school. This dual position of Staff and Parent gives me a valuable perspective and insight into the needs of Holly Primary and how best to support the school. Currently I’m the designated Governor for child protection and safeguarding. Away from school, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and friends
My son is at Holly Primary School. I’ve been helping with Friends of Holly since he started and I’m now also a parent governor. I worked for TTS Educational Resources for 9 years as a Marketing Manager so have knowledge of the education system and have organisational, project, budget and event management experience, which I hope will be useful for helping school. I love being in the outdoors, watching football, dancing and health & wellbeing.
I have worked in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire schools for over 12 years. Here at Holly, we offer a creative curriculum for all children to access and utilise our local area. In my spare time I am a keen golfer and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
I’ve recently been voted onto the governing body as parent governor. I have two children who already attend Holly Primary and one child due to start in 2023. I have been a Primary Teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator at a local infant school for nine years. I am hoping that my knowledge and experience can support the school to move forwards. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and going for afternoon tea with my friends.
I have recently joined the governing body as a parent governor. My youngest son currently attends Holly but my 2 older children also attended so I have had connections to the school since 2009. I have worked within the Early Years Foundation Stage as a childminder for 11 years as well as having personal experience of children with additional needs. I hope my knowledge and experience will support parents as well as the school.
In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading and watching my children take part in their various activities.
