Foundation Fun Autumn One – 2018

Welcome to all our families old and new! We hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are ready for the fun year ahead.

Please can we remind you to name all your children’s clothes and shoes as they are all very similar. Mrs Mayhew and Miss Millington’s classes will also need a PE kit in school, PE will be on a Monday. Please encourage your child to dress themselves at home as this really helps their independent skills and is an important life skill.

We all take part in outdoor Forest Fun sessions and therefore your child will need to have wellies in school.

Our Topic this half term is Marvellous Me, we will be learning all about our bodies and our senses. We will post on Yammer further Topic information and photographs of your children at work. Please make sure you sign up for Yammer so you do not miss any information. Email ict.admin@holly.notts.sch.uk with your child’s name – You need to join Foundation page and the whole school page.

Reading Stars start on Monday 10th September, so please make sure you read every day with your child and record it in their diary. Children will receive a certificate and a prize every 100 reads.

We are very friendly and would love for you to pop in and see us if you have any questions or queries or would like any educational information.

Thank you for your continued support.
