Foundation Fun – Autumn Two Overview

Welcome back, we hope you had a spooky spectacular half-term break! This half-term is sure to be a busy and exciting half-term in the lead up to Christmas. We remind you Foundation stage Christmas performance is on Monday 10th December. The visit to the Palace theatre for the Christmas pantomime is on Thursday 13th December. Christmas dinner and jumper day will be on Wednesday 19th December and Foundation’s Christmas party day will be on Friday 21st December.

Before all of the Christmas excitement begins, don’t forget its Grandparent’s afternoon on Friday 9th November. We kindly ask that only grandparents attend as we celebrate mother’s and father’s on separate occasions. Morning nursery’s grandparents can attend at drop-off time for an hour of fun!

Our focus for this half-term is nursery rhymes, ending with a nursery rhyme challenge; to find out how many nursery rhymes children can recite. We will be doing lots of rhyming, alliteration, re-wording and making up our own nursery rhymes.

Christmas performance rehearsals will commence and details about costumes, etc, will follow shortly.

Please continue to listen to your child read regularly and note this in their diaries as we will soon be approaching children achieving their 100 hundreds read, where children will receive a certificate and a special prize.

PE will continue to be on a Monday in the hall, nursery Forest Fun will continue to be on a Tuesday and foundation Forest Fun will continue to be on a Thursday, so please ensure they have their PE kits in school and are dressed appropriately for Forest Fun.

If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to pop in and see us anytime.

Thank you for your continued support.
